Odisha TET Application Form 2023

Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test is a state-level exam conducted to determine the eligibility of the applicants for the post of primary and upper primary teachers. A huge number of candidates are given the OTET exam, to teach children as teachers in government schools in the state of Odisha.

Odisha TET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification –

Paper 1 (Primary Level Class 1-5)

• Candidate should be passed Senior Secondary with 50 percent (45 percent for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD candidates) aggregate marks.
• Should appear in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education [CT or DElEd].
• 12th Class passed with 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
• Senior Secondary cleared with 50% marks and Four years of Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
• Senior Secondary passed with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
• Must have a Graduation degree and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
• Must have a Graduation degree with 50% marks and B.Ed. from any NCTE Recognised Institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes 1 to 5.
• Six months bridge course within two years of such appointment as Primary Teacher compulsorily recognized by NCTE.

Paper 2 (Primary Level Class 6-8)

• Candidates must possess a Graduation Degree and a Two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
• High Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with 50% marks and passed the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed course.
• Candidates with a qualified B.Ed Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in the TET exam.

OTET 2023 Age Limit –

• The minimum age to apply for the Odisha TET is 18 years. there is no upper age limit for the applicants aspiring to apply for the Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test.

Odisha TET 2023 Exam Pattern –

• OTET Exam will be conducted in Two papers -Paper 1 and Paper 2.
• Both papers will be done in offline mode (OMR Sheet).
• All questions will be multiple-choice questions (MCQ).
• Exam Timing will be 02:30 Hours to solve both papers.
• Each correct answer carries 1 mark and there will be no negative marking.
