भारत सरकर रक्षा मंत्रायल नए 17 आईआरबी में स्वस्थ और शारीरिक रूप से फिट युवा पात्र उम्मीदवारों की नियुक्ति के लिए ऑनलाइन नोटिफिकेशन जारी करेगा। इस निर्णय के अनुसार सरकार जम्मू और कश्मीर राज्य में 5 आईआरबी, छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य में 4 आईआरबी, महाराष्ट्र राज्य में 2 आईआरबी और झारखंड और ओडिशा राज्यों में 3-3 आईआरबी आवंटित करेगी। नई बटालियनों में 60% पद केवल जम्मू-कश्मीर राज्य के भीतर सीमावर्ती जिलों के युवाओं से भरे जाएंगे। प्रत्येक नवगठित भारतीय रिजर्व बटालियन में कुल 17000 कांस्टेबल की नौकरियां भरी जाएंगी। उन 27 जिलों में जो माओवादी हमलों से क्षतिग्रस्त हैं, ऐसे जिले में युवाओं को भर्ती से 75% रिक्तियां प्राप्त होंगी।
